The Palace at Weston hosted a special event to honor Edwin Jorge, a 9/11 survivor and former Regional Manager of the New York Peace Corps Office. Edwin had been ni Building 6 of the World Trade Center when the North Tower collapsed.
South Florida resident Lou Miller recently celebrated a monumental milestone—his 100th birthday—and WSFL was there to capture the moment! The festivities at The Palace Senior Living were a grand affair, complete with balloon arches, photo ops, live entertainment, custom chocolate bars, and even a special proclamation from the Mayor of Weston.
On August 15, 2024, Weston resident Louis Miller reached an extraordinary milestone: his 100th birthday. Born in Brooklyn, New York, in 1924, Louis's life journey is one filled with adventure, talent, and resilience. Despite losing his father at a young age and being raised by his mother alongside his four siblings, Louis developed a love for reading, fueled by his brother who worked in bookbinding, and a passion for music, ignited by another brother who gifted him a saxophone.

The Palace at Weston, an assisted living facility in Weston, Florida, brought more than 700 meals and nonperishable items to the Downtown Fort Myers area today.
The Palace worked with the Broward County Sheriff ’s Office and Pembroke Pines Police Department to make this all possible.
Residents from The Palace at Weston assisted living community joined with the Primrose School of Miramar for “Adopt a Grandparent Day” and then with Harmony Dance Academy in honor of “National Grandparents’ Day.”

On Friday, April 8th, “King David” and “Harvey” stopped by the senior living community to pay a special visit to 84 year-old Matteo Pecoraro, a former horse trainer and lifelong lover of horses, who resides at The Palace at Weston Memory Care community.

The Palace at Weston team proudly served a delicious pre-holiday lunch to 65 brave men and women at
Broward County Sheriffs Office in Weston.
The Palace’s talented culinary team prepared a traditional Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings. The menu consisted
of roast turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, corn, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce and a variety of desserts. A special thanks to Mojo Donuts for donating 100 delectable donuts for the cause.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Life at The Palace Coral Gables was designed to be grand, for active senior citizens. Pamela Parker is the Social Director. She describes the pre-coronavirus atmosphere as jovial. “We are used to having big parties every month, we are used to having morning to night activities, dinners with our friends. In an instant that all changed.” In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, group activities and cherished time with family needed to be altered.
